An experienced professional with extensive background in the areas of psychology, psychoanalysis and education.
Beyond her private clinical practice, she leads a seminar on Lacanian psychoanalysis, focused on the treatment of psychosis. Currently, she is researching psychosis through psychoanalytic theory; the concept of reality; love in postmodern times; and the clinical consequences of the concept of superego. During Fall 2023 and Spring 2024, she was a guest lecturer in the course Psychoanalysis: Key Conceptual Differences between Freud and Lacan, coordinated by Moira Fradinger at Yale University.
Carina has a Bachelor and Master degree in Psychology from the National University of Rosario, Argentina; and a Bachelor in Elementary Education from Escuela Nacional Normal Nicolás Avellaneda, Rosario, Argentina. Master in Mental Health & Clinical Psychoanalysis, Instituto de Neurociencias y Salud Mental de Barcelona & Leon University, Spain.
Between 2009 and 2016, she lived in Brazil. At Centro de Estudos Psicanalíticos (CEP) she lectured on the subject of psychosis and Lacanian graphs for diagnosis. She also led a series of smaller lectures to private groups on Lacanian psychoanalytic theory. She was a member of diverse Psychoanalytic Research groups in Latin America: Vox Institute, Forum, and CEP in São Paulo (Brasil); and APOLa in Buenos Aires (Argentina). In USA, she participates in Après-Coup Psychoanalytic Association (NY).
